Where and How to Find Rural & Francophone PR-Eligible Jobs (RCIP & Francophone Pilots)

Key stats & summary

  • Communities: RCIP currently spans 18 rural communities across 8 provinces; FCIP spans 6 francophone communities.

  • Designations matter: Employers must be community-designated before they can sponsor, and each community sets its own priority occupations/intake rules.

  • QuestJobs coverage: We currently track 2,000 RCIP-aligned jobs from designated employers and occupations across participating communities (and growing).

  • 2026 outlook: As of Dec 8, 2025, IRCC lists the communities below and continues to refine pilot details; monitor the official RCIP/FCIP pages for any 2026 adjustments.

What are RCIP & the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot?

  • RCIP helps rural communities attract and retain newcomers by letting community-designated employers recruit to fill verified local gaps. Communities publish priority occupations, intake windows, and employer rules. (Example: Steinbach publishes priority sectors/occupations and a public list of designated employers.) Steinbach Economic Development

  • Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP) targets francophone communities outside Quebec, with participating communities publishing their own instructions and employer participation details.

Bottom line: Jobs don’t count unless the employer is designated and the role fits the community’s current priorities. Always follow the community’s own page for the latest intake windows, forms, and lists.

How and where to find RCIP/FCIP PR eligible roles

  1. QuestJobs have made it easier for newcomers, TFW's and all immigrants looking for PR eligible jobs by accumulating jobs that are eligible for permanent residency sponsorship. Currently , there are close to 30,000 PR eligible jobs in the portal. All these jobs have been filtered and categorized in accordance to its most viable and possible Provincial Nominee Program pathway. The easiest and fastest way to apply for PR jobs in Canada is to create an account at QuestJobs.

  2. Filter by pathway: In QuestJobs, use the RCIP/Francophone filters to surface jobs from designated employers or those clearly mapped to priority occupations.

  3. Match your NOC: Use Job Analyzer to confirm NOC 2021 alignment and duties/skills.

  4. Check the community page: Confirm the employer is currently designated, the job meets wage/terms, and the intake window is open. Steinbach Economic Development

  5. Build a “community stack”: Apply in 2–3 aligned communities where your NOC is hot and employers are actively hiring.

Why “designated employers” & “designated occupations” are critical

  • Employer designation: Communities assess local businesses for compliance and labour needs. Only designated employers can sponsor under RCIP/FCIP. Steinbach Economic Development

  • Priority occupations: Communities publish NOC-based priority lists and may cap monthly intakes or set tie-break rules. (Example: Steinbach sets priority sectors & occupations and limits monthly recommendations.) Steinbach Economic Development

  • Intake windows & forms: Many communities run fixed monthly windows with standardized forms (offer of employment, intent to reside, etc.). Steinbach Economic Development

FAQs

Do all jobs in a participating town qualify?
No. Only offers from designated employers in priority occupations (and meeting wage/term rules) are eligible. Always verify on the community’s site. Steinbach Economic Development

Where do I find designated-employer lists?
On each community’s page. Example: Steinbach publishes its designated employers and priority occupation list. Steinbach Economic Development

Can I apply without French for FCIP?
FCIP is meant for francophone communities; check each community’s requirements (language, job offer, employer designation) via the IRCC FCIP community links.

RCIP/FCIP are employer-driven, community-specific pathways. The fastest wins happen when you: (a) target designated employers, (b) align your NOC & wage with the posted priorities, and (c) time your application to the community’s intake window. Our RCIP/FCIP filters and employer maps are built exactly for this.
